The Blues

The LA sun shines bright

but things just aren't right.

I caught a cold

and am feeling blue.

I want to crawl back in bed

and chase away the flu.

Sip some tea

and hide under the covers.

Maybe soak in a warm tub of lavender scent

to soothe my aches and pains.

Escape to an isle of retreat

till I feel better again.
