More Vanity Pics
Here are some more pictures of my antique Venetian vanity with some of my old perfume bottles. The vanity table is part of a large set of furniture that was imported from Genoa Italy, not far from Venice, Italy. It was made somewhere between 1880 and maybe 1910. I often wonder who it belonged to... what was the lady like who sat at this table way back then? Let me know if you would like to see more pics of the furniture. All of the pieces have beautiful paintings on them some depicting some fanciful scenes!
The little lamp is one of a pair and the cut glass vases hold fancy feathers. Many of the perfume bottles are antiques from Czech. Claudia at The Paris Apartment is still working on the Vanity for Humanity project and collecting photos of vanities and dressing tables. Take a minute to send your photos to her at TheParisApartment@yahoo.com. You'll be helping out a great cause for Habitat for Humanity.

What a beautiful vanity! It's so feminine. I'd love to have one but I actually put my makeup on in the car most of the time!
Pathetic, I know!
Of course we want to see more pictures of the furniture! Again, your collection is beautiful! How did you come across that furniture set anyways?
Thanks so much for the wonderful compliments! Paisley thank u so much for showing us your beautiful vanity too! I actually got the furniture from an antique dealer via Ebay long ago. It was shipped from Italy and there are about 10 pieces in the set. I can't spend like that now... but back then I was in need of furniture and couldn't resist! :)
